World’s Top Tech Companies Launch Consortium to Address AI’s Impact on the Workforce

The World Economic Forum says AI will affect around 25 percent of global jobs in the next five years. To stay ahead of the wave, nine of the world’s biggest tech companies—including Intel—are joining forces to tackle AI’s impact on the tech workforce through a new consortium aimed at recommending skilling and upskilling opportunities to ensure workers can adapt.

Aligning Sustainability Efforts Across the Semiconductor Value Chain

More than 140 organizations recently participated in the inaugural Intel Sustainability Summit to reduce the industry’s environmental footprint and work toward a future of more sustainable computing. Working together, the participants charted plans to move the industry forward, with 90 percent of on-site survey respondents committing to develop an industrywide net-zero road map by 2025.
